50/50 & Raffle Draws

A Gaming License is required by each team for their 50/50 & Raffle draws.  Please note that when a Gaming License is to be taken out, it MUST be taken out in the team's name & not using the gaming account of the Ridge Meadows Minor Lacrosse Association.  For further information & instructions on how to apply, please click on the following website - Gaming Policy and Enforcement

Teams often require funds in order to participate in tournaments or purchase other items for the team players, such as trophies, etc. & will often hold fundraising events on their own to reduce the amount of funds required directly from parents.  It's a good idea to discuss your teams goals with your coach & parents & come to a mutual concensus on the amount of fundraising to be done by your team.

After Game Snacks

Game snacks are especially popular with younger players, but older ones enjoy them too!  It is best to schedule a family for each game to be the treat-bearers (this can be done on your game schedule), or one family can manager the freezies for the season!  It is up to your team to determine if this is something your team wants to do.

Wrap-Up Parties

This is generally your last function of the season, a time to give the players their trophies or plaques (optional), recognize your coaches & parents that helped out throughout the season & just have a good time!  It is often a good idea to delegate the planning of the party to another team parent.  Because the weather is great during the end of box season, the possibilities are endless.  Book a pool, plan a picnic or barbeque, etc.  Players always look forward to their wind-up parent & it is the last team event they'll have  a memory from, so make it a good one!

Arena Guidelines for Coaches & Managers

  1. Please encourage your players to respect the facilities & the other patrons in the facilities.  Ensure your players do NOT throw lacrosse balls inside the facility, except on the floor.  Also, players should NOT throw balls against the outside walls of the arenas.  In past years, glass & stucco have been broken & damaged.

  2. Please do NOT warm up your players in the parking lot.  We are concerned for the player's safety & do not want lacrosse balls bouncing off any cars.  There are fields located near both arenas that can be used for warm-ups.

  3. Players, and all minor children, MUST wear a helmet at all times when on the lacrosse floor.  Coaches & other team personnel are asked to help educate the players & to help enforce this important safety issue.

  4. Please bring you own lock for the dressing room doors in both areas.  Keep the dressing rooms doors locked at all times while your team is on the floor.

  5. Please have teams use the dressing room to change & leave their lacrosse bags in.  Do NOT allow the players to change in the lobby or walkways & leave their bags lying around.  Each team is entitled to one dressing room during your floor times.  Mini-tyke teams will share one dressing room with their opponents as their are 4 teams in the arena at a time.

  6. Please speak to the arena staff if you have any issues with the facilities.

  7. Coaches, managers & parents continued support with the above items would be appreciated by the arena staff.
