The Sponsor-a-Family Program is a community-focused initiative created by the Ridge Meadows Minor Lacrosse Association (RMMLA) to help ensure that every child has the opportunity to experience the game of lacrosse, regardless of financial circumstances. We believe sport plays an important role in building confidence, teamwork, and a sense of belonging, and no child should miss out because of financial barriers.
This program offers confidential financial support to families who may need assistance with the costs associated with playing lacrosse, including, but not limited to, registration fees, team fees, equipment, and travel expenses. All applications and personal information are kept strictly confidential and are only accessed by the small Sponsor-a-Family committee. Each application is reviewed with care and respect, keeping dignity and privacy at the heart of the process. Our goal is to support families in a way that feels welcoming, understanding, and judgment-free.
Through the Sponsor-a-Family Program, RMMLA hopes to strengthen our lacrosse community by creating opportunities for more children to participate, grow, and thrive in a positive team environment. Together, we can help make lacrosse accessible, inclusive, and a source of pride for families throughout Pitt Meadows & Maple Ridge.
